CVS poster printer

The Center for Visual Science recently acquired an HP DesignJet Z6 wide format printer. Any member of CVS who will be presenting a poster at a conference/symposium/etc. may request to have me print their poster for them at no charge.

To ensure no unnecessary delays in the printing of your poster, please note:

  • You must be affiliated with the Center for Visual Science to use this service

  • Posters should be submitted in either PDF or PowerPoint formats (Adobe Illustrator or InDesign files are not an option ) a minimum of 48 hours before your desired pick-up day/time

  • Posters are printed on glossy 36" wide paper so the max width of a "portrait" poster or the max height of a "landscape" poster is 36"
  • Your poster needs to have at least a 5mm border around the edges to prevent graphics from being cut off
  • We do not have the ability to trim posters so be sure to remove crop marks before submitting your poster
  • It is strongly recommended that you do not use a very dark/black background for your poster...it uses up a lot of ink and results in posters that readily show even minimal damage
  • Please be sure to proofread your poster before submitting...currently you may only request one reprint due to content changes

To submit a poster for printing please e-mail the poster file (or a link to the poster file if it's too big to attach to an e-mail) to " poster@calendar.bcs.rochester.edu ". You will receive an e-mail from me letting you know when the poster is ready and where you can pick it up from.
