 1. We'll start with our usual refresher (what has everyone been up to?)
 2. Then we'll spend some time dissussing this note on [[http://www.cs.jhu.edu/~mdredze/publications/HowtoBeaSuccessfulPhDStudent.pdf|"How To Be A Successful Graduate Student"]]. At the end, the ms lists related notes by other researchers (incl. researchers from other disciplines). Perhaps some of you could read one of those notes rather than this one. I am just curious what you think about the points brought forward in the ms (most are general, some I'd say are specific to CS, but I haven't yet read the complete note).

 4. Bozena will go through some software she uses to organize her projects.
