Priority 1: Susan's gesture studies. BR Tracking hand movements with colored balls in order to see if people react more to hand shape or the movement in gesture. 90% complete. BR Priority 1: Field Work in Mayan. BR Making movies for the giveness and animacy trials and then giveness in ditransitives (this can be used in the 'States as well.) The self-set deadline is 7/27/08 for all the videos and the organizing excel sheet, etc. This leaves me one week to work out any kinks in the exbuilder script, etc. I plan on doing a massive 'round the office pilot to see how things are going at this point. Priority 4: Neighborhood effects with Austin. BR I'm reading the Quomps now and I'm excited to work with you! BR Priority 4: Talk to Susan about Syntactic Load. (Monday at 1pm)
Line 14: Line 14:
Priority 5: Learn Regression and Statistics Stuff with the super-intense tutorial. BR Priority 5: Read (probably won't be done this week).

Please note: I am also working ~15 hours a week in the BCS department office and ~8 hours a week at Kaplan Test Prep in the evenings.
Line 17: Line 19:
To be added. I have plans for working on the following stuff during the summer:

1) Chinese Entropy and Chinese English Entropy (Link: ["HlpLab/Projects/ConstantEntropyChinese"] )BR - continued from the independent study with Florian in the past spring semester.

2) Internship @ Center of Language and Speech Processing at Johns Hopkins University BR - June 22 - Aug 15 (Yes, I will be out of town in Baltimore)

3) Unfortunately I have to take a summer course before heading off to Baltimore, which leaves little time to do anything else.

But a plan is a plan, which is always changeable, and priorities are flexible. ;-)
