Priority 1: Field Work in Mayan. [[BR]] Making movies for the weight in transitives experiment, then animacy, then giveness and animacy trials. The self-set deadline is 7/27/08 for all the videos and the organizing excel sheet, etc. This leaves me one week to work out any kinks in the exbuilder script, etc. I plan on doing a massive 'round the office pilot to see how things are going at this point. [[BR]] Priority 1: Field Work in Mayan. [[BR]] Piloting subjects in the NP weight conditions. Read more about animacy effects. Improve/Proofread Givenness videos.
Line 8: Line 8:
Priority 2: Read papers for background. Look into priming literature? All afternoon on 7/2/08. [[BR]] Priority 2: My experiment.[[BR]] Run 14 more subjects (SB-while I'm gone). Transcribe and annotate (Ryan).

Priority 3: Neighborhood effects with Austin. [[BR]] Organize images into groups. [[BR]] Priority 3: Get all final copies on p and the cs server.

Not working over the summer.
Coding Data for the SuprisalPriming experiment

Running Subjects for Katrina's experiment

Planning RA lab tutorial to teach what I know about Praat

Things I would love to do:
design an experiment regarding whether subjects are more primable with the SuprisalPriming experiment depending on outside variables like whether they get a cookie or their money before hand or whether the Priming sentances are in loud or emotional voices.

I have plans for working on the following stuff during the summer:

1) Chinese Entropy and Chinese English Entropy (Link: ["HlpLab/Projects/ConstantEntropyChinese"] )BR - continued from the independent study with Florian in the past spring semester.

2) Internship @ Center of Language and Speech Processing at Johns Hopkins University BR - June 22 - Aug 15 (Yes, I will be out of town in Baltimore)

3) Unfortunately I have to take a summer course before heading off to Baltimore, which leaves little time to do anything else.

But a plan is a plan, which is always changeable, and priorities are flexible. ;-)

Here's a web page which shows my calendar: http://mail.rochester.edu/~tqian/Calendar.html
