==Windows XP==

 * Click on "Start" -> "Settings" -> "Control Panels".
 * Select the "Network Connections" control panel.
 * In the resulting window, click on "Advanced" and select "Optional Networking components".
 * Checkmark the box next to "Other Network File and Print Services".
 * Click Next.
 * Windows should then add a few things and close that window.
 * Close the "Network Connections" window.

==Windows 7==

 * Click on "Start", then "Control Panel".
 * Select the "Programs and Features" control panel.
 * On the left side, click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
 * In the resulting window, click on the "+" symbol next to "Print and Document Services".
 * Checkmark the boxes next to "LPD Print Service" and "LPR Port Monitor".
