Installing Psychtoolbox
As of January 8th 2024 the automated process for installing Psychtoobox no longer works. Installation needs to be done manually now.
Win
1. Download these two files (only accessible from a non-guest UR network):
https://www.cvs.rochester.edu/cvspriv/downloads/Psychtoolbox/Win/gstreamer.msi
https://www.cvs.rochester.edu/cvspriv/downloads/Psychtoolbox/Win/psychtoolbox_win.zip
2. Install the gstreamer package first...be sure to select the option to install the full package.
3. Decompress the "psychtoolbox_win.zip" file...it will create a folder called (surprisingly enough) "Psychtoolbox". Place this folder at the root of your hard drive (ie: C:\Psychtoolbox)
4.Run Matlab. In the Matlab main window type in the command "cd C:\Psychtoolbox" to switch to the Psychtoolbox folder. Then type the command "SetupPsychtoolbox.m" to run the setup program for the toolbox.
WIth any luck the toolbox setup will complete successfully and you'll be good to go.
