- For the most efficient work, use a mac. The mac version of audacity allows you to open multiple files for editing at once while the windows version will not.
- For converting audio file formats: Audacity

For finding VOT and the time difference between words: [http://trans.sourceforge.net/en/presentation.php Transcriber] or Audacity
- For making transparency maps for Poser: Photoshop
