For Florian's project on Redundancy and Syntactic Reduction, I am currently working with RA's Camber & Jeremy on annotation for the studies on subject-extracted passive relative clauses in the British National Corpus, following these guidelines: ["HlpLab/Projects/SyntacticReduction/Annotation"]. We have annotated 20,000+ sentences and are working on building a set of at least 20,000 'useable' sentences, that is, those which have not been excluded for various reasons. We anticipate more work as this project progresses.

I have plans for working on the following stuff during the summer:

1) Chinese Entropy and Chinese English Entropy (Link: ["HlpLab/Projects/ConstantEntropyChinese"] )BR - continued from the independent study with Florian in the past spring semester.

2) Internship @ Center of Language and Speech Processing at Johns Hopkins University BR - June 22 - Aug 15 (Yes, I will be out of town in Baltimore)

3) Unfortunately I have to take a summer course before heading off to Baltimore, which leaves little time to do anything else.

But a plan is a plan, which is always changeable, and priorities are flexible. ;-)

Here's a web page which shows my calendar: http://mail.rochester.edu/~tqian/Calendar.html
