Instructions for the new Xerox Phaser 4600/DN in G-4106 or G-3000

Mac OSX

  • Download the Xerox printer installation program: http://www.cvs.rochester.edu/cvspriv/downloads/Phaser4600/Phaser4600_Mac.dmg.

  • Double-click on the file to open the installer...a window should appear with an installer called "Xerox Print Drivers 2.59.0" in it. Double-click on that file to launch the installer.
  • Accept the default options during install.
  • Once it finishes, it will display a "Select A Printer" window with three icons in it. Click on the icon on the RIGHT.
  • Enter the printer's address: cvs002.urmc-sh.rochester.edu for the printer in G-4106, or cvs004.urmc-sh.rochester.edu for the printer in G-3000.

  • From the printer model pulldown menu, select Xerox Phaser 4600. The list may be long...the 4600 is near the middle.

  • Click on Continue.
  • On the next page, check or uncheck the option to print a test page or make this your default printer as you see fit.
  • Click on Continue. At this point, you're done.
