BCS & CVS Events Calendars

The old BCS events server/calendar has been replaced with a new calendaring system. The new system provides events calendars for both BCS and CVS.

Anybody who was receiving BCS event reminders via e-mail from the old system has automatically been added to the new system. Reminders are sent out upon event creation, modification, deletion, and both 1 and 3 days before the event takes place.

People receiving reminders of CVS events via e-mail will continue to receive them via the new calendar server. Reminders will be sent out at the same intervals as the BCS event reminders.

The calendars offer an RSS feed, so you can add it to your web browser and have event info appear there. An RSS icon appears in the top left corner of each calendar...when you click on it, your web browser should give you the option of adding the feed to your bookmarks. If it doesn't, here are the direct links:

BCS calendar CVS calendar - feed://calendar.cvs.rochester.edu/rssxmllink?calendar=cvs_events

You can also subscribe to the event calendar(s) from within Apple iCal and have the events appear there. To do so, go to the menu bar at the top and click on "Calendar", then "Subscribe", and enter this URL:

BCS calendar - http://calendar.bcs.rochester.edu/icalsubscribe/bcs_events CVS calendar - http://calendar.cvs.rochester.edu/icalsubscribe/cvs_events

The calendar then should appear in the window on the left, and the events in the calendar itself.

You should also be able to subscribe to the calendars from Google Calendar, but I do not have instructions for doing so right now.
