RA Meeting, TERM 2016, Week 8
Awe- and Aw-inspiring readings (or just stuff you think deserves a mention)
What we did over last week
Madeline
- Went home for the weekend (last time traveling, I swear)
- Cried at Finding Dory. No shame.
- Sent many, many emails to possible subjects for Masha's partner study because apparently no one wants to work with each other (Oey: LOL. Is that why SONA kept sending out signing up, canceling, then signing up again emails??)
- Almost ran subjects for Masha's partner study
- Redcaaaap
Bethany
- Fixed more ggplot stuff. Figuring out why geom_smooth is warning that it's removing non-finite values sent me wandering around documentation for generalized additive models, so I know a little more stats now, but my code is still unhappy.
- Writing methods sections.
- Going through the NLTK for Python tutorial/book thing.
- Much Redcap.
- Researching the confusing mess that is buying a plane ticket to Spain. (Why is the price range so large? How can it be cheaper to go to Germany and then back to Spain?)
Played a lot of D&D over the weekend and wished that my magical language powers transferred to real life.
Emily
Lauren

- Safely drove 5+ hrs home x_x but having a lovely time here in NJ/NYC
- Read eye tracking papers
- Emailed back some potential participants' emails to the HLPStudy gmail
- Included new R Data into Error Analysis. Tables look good, scatterplots look good, bar graphs...not so much.
Babysitting the sis and forcing her to do Khan Academy & Duolingo and being her chauffeur
- Worked 24.75 hrs for Elika last week. Working 0 hrs for her this week. Except I have to scavenge for a baby picture and current picture for the update to her About Us page on her lab's website. The struggle is so real.
