I'm still working on optical alignment for the AO system. We're also still waiting on some of the electronics hardware from the Roorda lab. Until we get all the required electronics, we can't do much with the system. As such, I don't foresee needing much involvement from other people for the next month or two (other than consulting with Ruei and having him help me with a few alignment procedures). There's an electronics subsystem that we'll need to assemble in a few weeks. I was planning to build it, but if there's someone else in the lab who is interested in this, it could be a nice stand-alone project. We also still need to design and build the bite bar assembly for subject alignment. There's a template from the Roorda lab, but we may need to modify it slightly for our application. Once again, this could be a nice stand-alone project for someone with CAD experience. And then once we get the whole system is up and running, I'll need help figuring out protocols for doing the imaging study. -Ben Moon, 9/10/2020
